Listening to feedback from current and potential customers - both businesses and personal - and sensing their frustration at not being able to obtain quality services at affordable rates was the key factor in developing the concept for a group/ industry based program. “Expanding on our existing Group Program just made sense”, states Steve Barrow, President of SetRate.com. “By categorizing individual businesses into specific industry groups i.e. medical, legal, finance/ insurance, technology, communications, transportation, IT, etc., we accomplish two very important goals. Effective June 16, 2008, your account will be switched over to the new TEL3Advantage Plan. This plan is essentially the same as the SetRate Plan with no monthly fee charges; however, the TEL3Advantage Plan offers new lower rates!

For MCI/ Verizon Customers, please read the following information.
On March 14th, 2008, SetRate chose to no longer represent MCI/ Verizon. We were told that effective June 1st, 2008, the intra (within State) rates would be increased AND that a 15% fee would be charged when customers automatically recharged their accounts. We found this unacceptable and did not renew our contract. Check out our new Tel3 Advantage plan, there’s no surprises. Your MCI/ Verizon minutes are certainly still valid. We ask that you take a look at our new plan before recharging your MCI/ Verizon account, as that’s when the rate increases and automatic recharge fee will take effect.
Your MCI/ Verizon account will not automatically convert to the new plan, you must sign up for the new Tel3Advantage Plan.
Unfortunately, we are no longer allowed to service our customers on the MCI/ Verizon plan. You must now call them directly at 1-800-470-5161 for all customer service issues.
We apologize for this; it was certainly not our choice.
Look at the example below, you will quickly see why we made this change. We'll use a $30.00 sign up for our example:
MCI/ Verizon: 2.89 cents per minute PLUS sales tax, PLUS 15% recharge fee plus increased In-State rates, makes the actual rate per minute over 5 cents!
$30.00 plus 7% sales tax ($2.10) plus 15% recharge fee ($4.50) = $36.60 actual cost, or over 5 cents per minute.
TEL3Advantage: $30.00 at 1.9 cents per minute = 1579 minutes, PERIOD. No sales tax or recharge fee!
